I'm Annelise Chin, formerly Annelise Tripp, and my happy places are the mountains, the beach and reading with my dog. I love to rock climb, hike, ski, surf, play beach volleyball and my regular exercise routine helps me continue to enjoy all these things!

The stronger and healthier we remain, the more we can enjoy what we actually want to be doing. In my work as a personal trainer, I’m most passionate about helping seniors and those that are coming back from tough setbacks, like joint replacements, surgeries, injuries or even cancer treatments. I guide you through getting back into exercise and rebuilding strength for the long haul.

I’ve taken boatloads of certifications and courses (see below) and compiled all my education and experience with clients to create the Lifelong Strength System! It is structured, yet flexible - emphasizing the long-term commitment to your strength and well-being.

I love to learn and ensure that I’m always helping my clients with the most effective strategies. My clients invest in me, and in return I invest in more learning so I can help you to the best of my ability! Here are the highlights of my investments over the years :)

Certified Personal Trainer (2015) - My initial certification was through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and laid the groundwork with the basics of helping you get stronger and stick to a new exercise habit.
Medical Exercise Specialist (2017) - I learned specifically how to work with a wide range of medical conditions, such as joint replacements, spinal surgeries, osteoarthritis, etc.. We can manage your medical conditions with exercise, take into account any limitations and work together with your doctor and physical therapist.

Cancer Exercise Trainer (2018) - This course, designed by the American Cancer Society and the American College of Sports Medicine, taught me the massive benefits of exercise for cancer survivors. I now know how to adapt and tailor your exercise program as you go through or come back from various cancer treatments.
​
Senior Fitness Specialist (2019) - I learned skills to help older adults specifically gain strength, ward off muscle deterioration and reduce instances of inactivity-related disease and cognitive decline.
​
Online Trainer Academy (2020) - In 2020, we were all challenged to re-evaluate and discover new ways to live our best lives. This certification gave me the tools to create a business and coaching structure designed to make training people online simple and effective. Now my clients can continue to get fitter all from the comfort of their home! There’s no need to lose your strength even if you can’t risk going to a gym.

Slings Myofascial Training (2018, 2019) - These courses taught me about the interconnectedness of muscles and fascia and how taking into account these connections can greatly improve our training outcomes. The method is based on new findings in fascia research and movement science.
​
Athletic Truth Group Level 2 Coach (2022) - I’ve worked with many clients with knee injuries, pain and replacements and even injured my own knee skiing. While I had some tools already to help bounce back, this ATG (Athletic Truth Group) system has been the simplest and most effective one I've found yet! Not only did I learn to fix knees, but also an entire strength training system to help create a structurally balanced body. With this certification, I also have joined a network of other trainers and physical therapists. If we’re ever stuck, I ask other qualified professionals to help me help you become (or remain!) strong!

​Cancer Exercise Specialist (2023) - Yes, I did a second course in this! Through the Cancer Exercise Training Institute, I learned more about all stages of cancer treatment, side-effects, and reconstructive procedures and how they impact exercise programming.
