Don't just take my word for it - hear from some of my inspiring clients how taking charge of their exercise routines has helped them!

Online Training with Annelise Chin is a great balance between a weekly, scheduled one-on-one with the rest of the week in my hands to fit it into my schedule. Individual guidance to keep me on track and motivated, but completely flexible most of the days so that I will be more inclined to actually do the work.
Our training is making sure my aging body stays as healthy and strong as possible so that I can still travel and enjoy a vigorous life. It’s a better, more complete experience than I could have imagined.

I was referred to Annelise Chin by my doctor, who wanted me to add more core work to my exercise routine. After speaking to Annelise, she also added other areas that support the core as well as, equally important, my knees.
At first, I was a little concerned that I wouldn't be able to duplicate the correct form for an exercise but her videos were very helpful. What also helped was that she had me go through the exercises in the following session to offer suggestions or corrections. I appreciate that she had a four week plan with the end result of a personalized list of exercises and stretches. Annelise has given me a very doable plan that I can easily do at home - exercises that are specific to my needs that I can grow with.
Her friendliness and cheerful attitude are very encouraging and welcoming. She listened to my specific aches and pains, and came up with options to either minimize the strain or strengthen other areas to support them. I loved working with her!

I am stronger and healthier. I feel better and everyday tasks are easier. I have been very pleased with the training!!

When I first started online training, I was concerned about correct form and accountability. Annelise Chin demonstrates proper form online and/or provides an example of a professional performing the move for each exercise. I am able to refer back to the example as needed. The app is great for accountability! It also provides a record of sessions, exercises, reps and weights so I can see my progress over time. Annelise and I meet over Zoom where we discuss any questions or concerns I may have. She is extremely responsive over text and over the app as well.

I started online training looking for variety, consistency and accountability. It is the perfect combination of autonomy and accountability! I have flexibility to train at the times that work best for me, using a highly specialized program customized to my equipment and fitness level. I love the variety and the flexibility. Using the app keeps me honest and consistent! And seeing my progress over time keeps me motivated to continue.

My top health and fitness goals this year were to be able to walk on the Esplanade and get stronger and my biggest challenges were balance and gaining weight. I appreciate how you begin each session by asking me how I feel or how am I doing - you listen and will modify the session based on my response.
I have gained over ten pounds in one year which is what I have been trying to do for many years. I am pleased now that I can walk on the Esplanade from Avenue A to Knob Hill to Avenue F and back at about a 27 minute per mile pace.
I am very pleased with your style - very positive - and sincerely caring about the challenges I have faced. Thanks for making a difference in the quality of my life.

My top health and fitness goals this year were to stay alive and get more flexible. The biggest challenge I have is staying focused on training. You are very responsive to my ongoing flexibility challenges and our training has helped me to be able to get myself up from the ground/floor! You are the greatest!

Annelise listens with care and creates programs that offer improvement in small steps.

When I started, my goals were to improve my core strength, diminish stress on my knees and strengthen my wrists. I feel fitter, healthier and happier thanks to the regular and personal program. It no longer hurts my knees to climb up and down steps, my balance has improved and I learned how to improve my breathing habits. I look forward to every session with Annelise - she is very lovable!

When I started, my goals were to improve core strength and get a doable routine to address the main muscle groups.
I am not much of an exercise type, so I wasn’t sure if I would be able to be faithful in my training routine. Your encouragement — and helping me set achievable weekly goals that gradually eased me into strength training— was key. It has now been two months since my first session with you and I am still working through routines A&B 2-3 times a week.
Thank you for helping me develop a program that addresses my goals that are tailored to my needs and abilities with a little bit of “stretch” built in. These strength training exercises are also helping me find more energy and stability as well.

My previous experience with exercise was in gyms, so I had a hard time visualizing how effective training could be without all of the machines and equipment, or space. (I live in a small apartment.) I also had not done a one-on-one session via zoom and was unsure how that would work. You were able to show me how we could effectively use the simple equipment I did have, and also how many exercises could be done with no equipment at all. You made the use of zoom very easy and effortless, largely I think, because you were comfortable with it and had learned the best way to maneuver/position laptops etc.
My primary goals were, and continue to be, to gain muscle strength and to do exercise to strengthen bones/muscles that support bone health. We recently did a check and my balance has significantly improved. I’m aware that I’m beginning to feel stronger.
Given that I have found it as effective, or perhaps even more effective than in-person training in a gym – there are no distractions so it is a pretty concentrated workout – I just find it easier: no driving to gym, parking etc. and I can use zoom filters to blot out wrinkles, dark circles, etc!! 😊
I've really enjoyed getting to know you a little and sincerely appreciate the effort and knowledge you bring to our sessions. I'm always appreciative of those who strive for excellence, and to me you're one of them!

My goal was to become motivated again, as I have been uninspired to workout. Additionally, earlier this year I finished breast cancer treatment and recently learned I am one T score away from osteoporosis.
With online training, I love that there’s no driving or leaving my house to workout. I personally am more comfortable training from home and am still concerned about being in a gym/group setting since COVID. Also, Annelise was able to create a routine with the equipment I have. This enables me to workout any time that is convenient for me.
I enjoyed using the App. Initially I didn't think I'd like it, but I found it very convenient. I appreciate that she was easily accessible if I had any questions in using the app or on the routines. She is very quick to return inquiries. Contacting her using the app is also nice as all our correspondence is captured in the app instead of multiple emails or texts. I also appreciate that she modified a few of the exercises due to my foot injury. It was nice not missing a workout and keeping up my momentum.
Training with Annelise has given me the confidence and inspiration to get moving!

I had never worked one on one with a trainer before and I did not know what to expect regarding interpersonal skills and patience with any limitations I might have. I felt a connection with Annelise right away and quickly realized that she had a lot of knowledge and knew how to apply it to my situation. Very easy to talk to and an excellent listener.
When I first started, my goals were to become stronger and to work on balance and flexibility. I now feel much stronger and more fit and my balance has improved considerably. Stretching in focused areas has gotten really good results.
I had a major surgery and recovery in 2020/2021 and she was very patient with my initial restrictions. Over time I have built my strength and endurance back up. More specifically, we have worked on stretching in the area of restriction and it has improved significantly. I am very happy to experience relief in that area and continue to improve.

When I first started, I was hoping that Annelise would not be a cookie cutter trainer (same routines for everyone) and would listen to me and address my specific needs.
She has kept me motivated to exercise during my cancer treatments which can cause fatigue and lack of motivation. I appreciate that she maintains an ongoing dialogue to identify my weaknesses and goals and she addresses my unique situation of trying to maintain muscle strength while having no testosterone due to cancer treatment. She listens to me and adapts my program to my specific, and sometimes changing, needs.
She provides a personal service and that is where the value is for me.

My top health and fitness goals this year were to be able to walk on the Esplanade and get stronger and my biggest challenges were balance and gaining weight. You provided helpful suggestions such as incorporating balance exercises from the Physical therapist into the routines (although I don't particularly care for them!!) I appreciate how you begin each session by asking me how I feel or how am I doing - you listen and will modify the session based on my response.
I have gained over ten pounds in one year which is what I have been trying to do for many years. I am pleased now that I can walk on the Esplanade from Avenue A to Knob Hill to Avenue F and back at about a 27 minute per mile pace. I use the cane to cross streets but carry the cane for most of the walk.
I am very pleased with your style - very positive - and sincerely caring about the challenges I have faced. Thanks for making a difference in the quality of my life.
